Our Pastor

Pastor Butch Schrope grew up in Nixa, Missouri and attended the Berean Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri (USA) his entire life. It was there, where he met his wife Angie who had also attended Berean Baptist Church in Springfield, since she was in the 4th grade.

In August of 2000, Pastor Butch Schrope and his wife were married and in March of 2002, during their churches missions conference, the Lord called Pastor Schrope to the mission field of Australia.

After working on staff at Berean Baptist Church in Springfield, MO for 3 years, (as the youth pastor and missions intern) Pastor Schrope and his family began deputation, to raise support as missionaries to Australia.

In September of 2010 Pastor Schrope and his family arrived in Western Australia, where Pastor Schrope watched over the Bayview Baptist Church in Busselton (which was started by Pastor Bruce Carr) for a year and a half while Pastor Carr was back in the United States.

On September 16, 2012, Pastor Schrope and his family started the Berean Baptist Church in Margaret River, Western Australia.

On the 31st of May, 2020, God moved the Berean Baptist Church to Augusta, Western Australia, where Pastor Schrope and his family continue to preach the Gospel.

Pastor Schrope and his wife Angie have four boys: Connor, Chandler, Cooper, and Carter. Pastor Schrope and his family would like to invite you to come and be a part of the services of Berean Baptist Church.
